Closing in on 5 years ago, my wife Tara and I went to Canmore, Alberta in search of a piece of art to hang in our bedroom. As we were touring the galleries we discovered that we had expensive taste! I stated to Tara that I felt that I could probably achieve something close to some of the art we loved.
On returning to Okotoks, Tara took me directly to a Michaels store to buy some paints. My first attempt was not good. You would have advised me to stop, but Bob Ross said that talent was a “Pursued Desire”. Well having been retired, I had plenty of time to pursue. Slowly I improved to the point where people started asking me to paint special places and memories for them. That is how my new commissions career began.
Now this is what I do. I am very honored when I am approached by someone to create a memory for them that they can display and enjoy for years to come.
