Allison Dawrant

Art builds connections and evokes change. If I can add a little joy, colour, and feeling to the world, that inspires me. When I paint, my world is quiet, and I am completely present in the moment.  Art is like problem solving, and I know exactly what steps to take in order to work through the inspiration and creativity within. Art is like having a conversation and with each statement (brush stroke or mark) or silence, there is a unique response. Art is a practice, just like meditation, and I love the process.
